Kindergarten to Grade 5 students attend one ICT class per week. In these classes they are taught typing skills, computer file management and the use of applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Elementary students are also taught the fundamental research skills they need to access information on the internet. There is a focus on guiding our students towards safe use of the internet and social media.

Grade 7: Desktop publishing - Word processors and Microsoft Publisher

Grade 8: Database programming - Microsoft Access and MySQL Server Community Edition

Grade 9: Web Programming - Xampp Server, Dreamweaver CS5 and Notepad++

Grade 10: Multimedia - Flash CS5 and Photoshop CS5

Grade 11: Web page development - Xampp Server, Dreamweaver CS5 and Notepad++

Grade 12: Google Apps - Online Google Apps programmes

EWIS is registered with The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to offer the National Curriculum and Exams.

WASC Accreditation

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is one of six official academic bodies responsible for the accreditation of public and private universities, colleges, secondary and elementary schools. EWIS was accredited in 2013, for six years.

Cambridge International Exam Center

At EWIS we offer CIE IGCSE/AS/A level courses and exams. CIE exams are assessed though the university of Cambridge.
