Field Trips

At East West, the Grade 5 and Secondary students go on field trips around Cambodia or to a neighbouring country. This gives students the chance to see places they haven't seen before, as well as spend time with their friends and teachers outside the regular school environment.

Besides being fun, field trips offer students a chance to make an impact on rural Cambodian communities. Each trip has a service component to it, including educating village children on the importance of soap and hygiene, or donating books to a school far from any road or town.

Students also learn leadership skills and have the chance to do team-building activities. Nightly 'round table' discussions on many trips give students the chance to practice public speaking on a variety of subjects, such as "Gratitude" and "The qualities of successful people".
