2017/2018 ACADEMIC YEAR

We need a teacher for: Humanities Grade 7 / English Grade 9 / Computer classes Grades 2 and 3

to start in October 2017

If you are interested in exploring the possibilities of teaching at EWIS in future years...

Please email   OR If your teaching skills are aligned with one of our job openings we will contact you. Please keep visiting our website for any vacancies that may come up.

We don't attend job fairs but welcome visits to our school from prospective teachers travelling to, or living in, Cambodia.

Full-time International Teachers are offered a twelve or tweny-four month contract. Paid holiday breaks include the Cambodian National holidays, a two-week Winter break and an eight-week Summer break. Contracts include paid tax, paid annual visa and work permit, flight allowance and a small medical allowance.

Work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and staff are expected to offer one after-school activity for half the year. Teaching hours are around 25 hours per week. Sports coaching is optional and dependent on previous experience and skill but is more than warmly welcomed by our sports department staff.

Opportunities for informal and formal professional development are offered at EWIS, including a diploma course run through CIE and the University of London.

Job openings at EWIS are known only as early as teachers share their plans with administration. The school requires teachers to declare their intentions (remain/move on) by the end of February. Thus, position information is often in flux. However, EWIS will update possible and probable openings as often as possible on this websites. Reporting for new jobs is generally the first week of August.

All teachers must provide a police check/background check from their home country, at their own cost.  It is much easier and cheaper to obtain this before you leave your home country.  All countries differ somewhat but if you are coming from the UK and can't for any reason get a DBS check, a good alternative is a Subject Access Report which you can obtain by filling out a form online or going down to your local police station. The report costs £10 and shows anything that is on your record. It could take around four weeks to process.
